Show Ponies exploded into being in 2019, in a sell-out event hailed by Motif Poetry as “a watershed moment for poetry in performance in Wellington”. This NZYWF, an entirely new line-up of Aotearoa’s most mesmerising live poets will take the stage in outrageous costumes, amongst bright lights, beats and backup dancers. Sinead Overbye (Te Whānau a Kai, Ngāti Porou), Vanessa Mei Crofskey, and Nathan Joe (Chinese-Kiwi) bring their creative genius to the stable along with your MC for the evening Rebecca Hawkes.

Please note that essa may ranapiri (Ngaati Raukawa, Ngaati Pukeko, Te Arawa, Clan Gunn) can sadly no longer appear in the festival.
